What is IMPACT?

Created in 1971 in Los Angeles, IMPACT organizations now offer personal safety instruction in 21 cities in the U.S. and around the world. In various formats from short seminars to 20-hour courses, certified instructors teach empowering self-defense skills and techniques to participants of all ages and fitness levels. SafeSelf is sponsored by IMPACT/Boston, which has been active in the New England area for 16 years.
